Night time in Malibu...

This past week I made it a point to capture some various photos of Malibu at night. Here's what I captured this week. Beginning with an image of the fog rolling over the Santa Monica mountains tonight...

This Oak tree sits in Malibu Creek State Park. The light behind it is the light of a cell phone used to capture the details of the tree and to create some depth. 

This is the same oak tree, but without an additional light behind the tree.

The view over Malibu...star trails.

This evening I took a test photograph of the night sky over Malibu. I shoot 105 frames at 30 seconds a piece and stacked the images to get the star trails effect. This is a fun hobby of mine aside from the business aspect of photography. I love star trails and the milky way and hope to compile a collect of various images of the night sky in the future....-cg
